Mappings: The Core Feature

A mapping connects a local folder to a Notion page or database so new files can be synced as links automatically.

Create a Mapping

  1. 1. Open Manage Mappings from tray or dashboard.
  2. 2. Add New Mapping.
  3. 3. Paste Notion page/database link.
  4. 4. Add synced folder(s).
  5. 5. Configure filters and save.

Lifecycle Sync

  • - Create: adds new files to Notion.
  • - Rename: updates name/link metadata.
  • - Delete: archives related Notion block/entry.
  • - Move: updates path when the tracked folder scope allows it.

Database Mapping

NotionGate can auto-create required database properties when missing, so Name/Link/Date/Size fields are ready for sync.
